2011 Rally Schedule

    Spring rally;  HOUSTON,MN
Rally Masters: Howard & Midge Glenna and Sandi Renk.
    Dates:  May 12^th (early arrival),13^th, 14^th, & 15^th, 2011.
    Where: Cushion’s Peak Campground, 18696 MN Hwy 16  Houston, MN 55943
Reservations due:  May 1^st. Please make your own reservations.  Call 507-896-7325.  Leave a message and they will get back to you.  The owners are teachers so it may be a while before they return the call.     Please give them a credit card number to hold the reservation.  At the time of check in you may then pay with a credit card, check or cash.  Also let them know you are part of the Greater Midwest Classics club. Cost is $21.38 per night.
    DIRECTIONS:  I-90 Exit #249,  go south on Hwy 43 thru Rushford to the junction of Hwy 16,  then East on Highway 16 about 8 miles to the campground.  Entrance to the campground is just East of mile marker 266.  Watch for our GMC Club sign. This area is noted for its bike trails.  There are bike rentals in the area.
    RALLY SCHEDULE
        Friday, May 13^th
            9:00 am Tour of Northland lefse plant
          6:00 pm Pot Luck dinner.  Bring your own plates, utensils, meat and a dish to share.
        Saturday, May 14^th
            8:00 am Breakfast in a bag plus donuts. Bring a cup of fruit to share, coffee provided.
            9:00 am Business meeting followed by:  Tech sessions & Sharing time
            Afternoon, (tentative) tour of Sandi’s brother’s round barn
            6:00 pm  Catered Dinner
        Sunday, May 15^th
              8:00 am Yogurt, granola and coffee; Rally ends.  (Leave at your own pace)NOTE: This year is the 20^th Anniversary of our club.  Please bring pictures and other mementos of the past 20 years to share with our members.
    See you in May.  It’s always great to visit with each other and to get caught up.

    Summer rally;  Will be held at the Redwood City Park in Redwood Falls, MN on July 14-17. John Parker is the wagonmaster. More info on this rally in the upcoming newsletter.

    Fall rally;  We have a committee working on a "rolling rally" after the GMCMI convention in Goshen, IN.

2010 Rally Schedule

    June rally: Held at the Yogi Bear campground in Sioux Falls SD. Friday night was pot-luck and Saturday there was 'breakfast-in-a-bag'. Saturday afternoon some members traveled to a site that had a lot of antiques, then later in the afternoon all members went to a winery for a wine tasting tour. The catered meal was also served at the winery.

    Summer rally: The rally was held at Camp Faribo in Faribault, MN on August 4-8th. Over twenty coach's attended and there were a lot of activities planned. Bob LaCasse, a charter member, came to visit one day. Check your newsletter for more info on this years rallys and the upcoming rallys for 2011.

    Fall rally: The Midwest Classics Fall Rally was held at the GMC Motorhomes International Fall convention at Du Quoin, Illinois on Sept. 26th through Oct. 2nd. This was a very nice site and there was a lot of activities, seminars, vendors at this convention.
