2011 Rally Schedule
Spring rally;
HOUSTON,MN
Held at Cushons Peak Campground on May 12-15.
Rally Masters were Howard & Midge Glenna and Sandi Renk.
Summer rally;
July
14-17th, Ramsey Park & Campground, Redwood Falls, MN
Ramsey Park is the largest municipal park in
Minnesota, 217 acres. The campground has 31 individual sites with 50 amp
electric, modern restrooms with showers. There is city water and sanitary
disposal near the restrooms. The GMC Midwest Classics club have reserved 30
sites for our use on Thursday, Friday & Saturday. If you want to
come in earlier than these dates, you will need to call the
park at 507-644-2333 and make a reservation. Make sure you call early enough
as campsites are in demand. You can also make your reservations online at
CAMPING by following the instructions on that web page.
Directions:
From US 71 & Hwy 19 in Redwood Falls, go North on N. Lincoln Street to the
dead end, go left on E Oak Street, the campgrounds will be on the right. More info will
be added in the upcoming newsletter.
Fall rally; The
Fall rally will be held at Goshen, IN along with the GMCMI convention. After
the GMCMI convention, the Great Lakers Motorhome Club has invited members
from the Midwest Classics to join them at Ludington, MI for the Great Lakers
rally. Then, after the Great Lakers rally, there will be a rolling rally
into upper Michigan, Wisconsin and Minnesota. All the info for these
activites are listed in the August Newsletter. Check it out, just a lot of
things to do and a lot of fun along with it.
2010 Rally Schedule
June rally:
Held at the Yogi Bear campground in Sioux Falls SD.
Friday night was pot-luck and Saturday there was 'breakfast-in-a-bag'. Saturday
afternoon some members traveled to a site that had a lot of antiques, then later
in the afternoon all members went to a winery for a wine tasting tour. The
catered meal was also served at the winery.
Summer rally:
The rally was
held at Camp Faribo in Faribault, MN on August 4-8th. Over
twenty coach's attended and there were a lot of activities planned. Bob LaCasse,
a charter member, came to visit one day. Check your newsletter for more info on this years
rallys and the upcoming rallys for 2011.
Fall rally: The
Midwest Classics Fall Rally
was
held at the GMC
Motorhomes International Fall convention at Du Quoin, Illinois on Sept. 26th
through Oct. 2nd. This was a very nice site and there was a lot of activities,
seminars, vendors at this convention.
